You know, just because you provide credit to who owns the characters or art doesn't mean you can just use it like this. Unless you get written permission from all the artists those images belong to you're technically breaking DA's rules :c
I'm letting you know since I don't want you to get in trouble and I'm guessing you didn't know.

Oh give me a break.
Everyone here does fan art and makes little cutesy versions of things. You have a gallery full of pokemon. Or, do you have written permission? I'm just telling you, it sounds like you didn't know.

My gallery is full of drawings I did myself, that is why it is fanart, there is nothing wrong with the principle of drawing and making your own fanart.
I was just informing this artist that using most of the art for these buttons was not allowed on DA because she isn't the original artist, it's not the same thing as fanart.
I would say I'm sorry to have apparently caused you to think you had to interfere, but I did nothing wrong and was not rude to her and dropped it after I said my piece, I am not and was not bothering her or antagonizing her. You had no business butting in just to be rude to me.

Well, I usually don't. But-- I just had to. :D
Don't be a party pooper. If you don't like it-- don't look at it.
There isn't any reason to be nasty. I just can't stand someone giving another person a hard time about what they chose to add here. A lot of people copy and crop downloaded pictures and manipulate them a small bit and that's what they choose to call their art. I don't care for it, I don't look at it. Just leave well enough alone. I'm sure you're a perfectly nice person. Of that, I'm certain. :) I just don't like Debbie downer messages.
There are a lot of very young people on here, too. Including my own daughter-- and I hate when people rain on their parade. Not saying that this person is-- it just made me think of my own. ;) I agree. Let's all be adults here. We'll use our own artwork, yes. But, if this person feels like this is how she wants to express her art-- by transforming pictures into backgrounds and buttons and etc. Well, that's what they're gonna do. :D I suppose I did balloon that out of proportion, but- like I said-- I've had my fill of people telling others what they can and cannot do. Interfering isn't usually what I do. Just caught me on a day where I felt like it, I guess. =P

Thanks for the advice!

But I see lots of people on DA making stuff with characters like brushes, layouts, icons, also buttons. I made something with the characters, I didn't got these buttons from anywhere, I made them. I also gave the credits, I didn't said the characters are mine.
I don't think I can get in trouble with this, but if any of the creators or even DA want me to remove their characters from here, I'll do this imediatelly after their requests.

But really, thank you! I appreciate your kindness on advising me. (^ ^~)

Well the thing with DA's copyright policy is that half of the time, unless the original owner of copyright makes the report of theft, DA will ignore a report due to lack of time or other reasons, many deviants are rather disappointed in their report system. I'm not sure on every single rule DA has on this matter, but it would seem icons and layouts tend to not be cracked down on so much.

And I know you didn't claim the characters as yours, it's not even the issue, it's just that crediting an artist and getting permission from them is not the same thing. It's all about the ethics of a situation. And not that I'm trying to be a busy body, but it's likely that most if not all of the original artists won't see this deviation ever, and won't know that you used their work. Not being aware of the situation and not asking you to take it down are also not the same thing. I know you mean nothing malicious or bad by making these buttons, if anything is shows how you like the artwork, but if you really respected the artists, you would do what you could to find and message them to ask and make sure that it is okay. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if after being asked many of them were fine with your buttons, though they may want links back to their websites or profiles as further credit. Again, it's really just the basics of ethics <:3

I'm not asking you to take these down because I don't really have that right, but I do advise that you seek out the proper permissions.

I understand what you are talking about, I also asked :iconqueenofdorks:'s permition by a note on DA.

But I though asking Corporations Like Sanrio and San-X was like lack of time, I don't think they'll spend time on these poor icons of mine, but okay, I'm just going to contact them. This is the right thing to do.

Thanks again for your support! (^ ^~)

I think what you have is adorable. Don't let that party-pooper on here be such a buzz kill. I don't think anyone is going to care. Besides, to hell with Sanrio. :D I do tons of fan art on commission. I credited the one person who is here on DA that I used. Other than that-- I painted them myself. Everyone knows I don't own their likeness. I don't have to justify diddly to anyone. ;)

That's what I think so, it's like a fan art. I don't think anyone will yell with me just because of this little buttons...

Thank you very much for your support. It's very important to me! ( ^ ^)

All of us need a pat on the back sometimes. :)
A little encouragement can really go a long way.

And, Photoshop is fun. I do love to see original artwork, I think it's like looking into what someone is thinking. If you have Photoshop, I'm sure you'll use that to paint something really neat.
